Most international travelers arrive at Da Nang International Airport, located approximately 28-37 kilometers from Hoi An.

  • Taxi/Ride-hailing:: Taxis and ride-hailing services like Grab, Be, and Xanh SM are readily available from Da Nang Airport directly to Hoi An. The journey typically takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, with costs ranging from approximately 220,000 VND to 500,000 VND (around $9-$22 USD).
  • Private Transfer:: Pre-booked private transfers offer a comfortable, direct journey from Da Nang Airport or city to Hoi An. This option usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour and costs between $20-$40 USD.
  • Shared Shuttle Bus:: Shared shuttle services provide a budget-friendly option, with fares typically between $5-$10 USD per person. The travel time is around 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.

By Train (via Da Nang Train Station):

Da Nang Train Station is the closest railway hub to Hoi An, situated about 30 kilometers away.

  • Local Bus (LK-02):: From Da Nang Train Station or various points in Da Nang city, the LK-02 public bus operates to Hoi An. The fare is approximately 31,000 VND to 35,000 VND (around $1.30-$1.50 USD), and the journey can take between 45 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, depending on the starting point and traffic.
  • Taxi/Private Transfer:: Similar to airport transfers, taxis and private cars are available from Da Nang Train Station to Hoi An, offering a quicker and more direct route.

By Motorbike:

For those seeking flexibility and adventure, renting a motorbike in Da Nang and riding to Hoi An is an option. Daily rental costs are around 150,000 VND. The ride offers scenic views but requires familiarity with local roads and traffic.
