  • Airport Transfer (Phu Bai Airport to Hue city center): Taxis cost around 200,000–300,000 VND ($8–$12 USD) for a 15–30 minute ride. Shuttle buses are available for about 50,000 VND ($2 USD) and take 30–60 minutes. Private car transfers start from $12 for a sedan.

Trains (Hue Railway Station):

  • From Hanoi: Journeys are typically overnight, lasting 13–14 hours. Tickets vary from $10 to $45 for Vietnam Railways, depending on the seat or sleeper berth type. Higher-end options like Lotus Train can cost $65–$140.
  • From Ho Chi Minh City: These are generally overnight trips, taking 18–22 hours. Ticket prices range from approximately $24 to $80 or more, depending on the class.
  • From Da Nang: The scenic train ride takes about 2.5–3 hours and costs around $8.

Buses:

  • From Da Nang: Travel by bus takes approximately 2–3 hours. Public buses cost around $3–$6, while shuttle buses or limousines are priced from 150,000–300,000 VND ($7–$13 USD).
  • From Hanoi: Bus journeys can take 12–13 hours.

Private Car/Taxi:

  • From Da Nang: A private car transfer typically takes 1.5–3 hours, with costs ranging from $40 to $100. This option often includes door-to-door service and allows for stops at scenic points like Hai Van Pass.
