Da Lat is primarily served by Lien Khuong Airport (DLI) for air travel and the Da Lat Intercity Bus Station for road transport. While there is no direct train service, connecting train stations are accessible via bus transfers.

By Air:

  • Flights from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) take approximately 50-55 minutes, with airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, and Bamboo Airways. Fares typically start from around $29-$33 USD.
  • From Hanoi (HAN), flights are approximately 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Flights from Da Nang (DAD) are about 1 hour 10 minutes.
  • Upon arrival at Lien Khuong Airport (DLI), located about 30 kilometers south of the city, one can take a taxi to the city center for around 300,000-400,000 VND ($13-$17 USD) in about 45 minutes, or use an airport shuttle bus for approximately 40,000 VND ($2 USD).

By Bus:

  • From Ho Chi Minh City, bus journeys typically range from 6 to 8 hours, utilizing expressways. Services are offered by companies like Phuong Trang (FUTA Bus Lines) and Thanh Buoi. Ticket prices generally range from $7-$22 USD for various bus types, including sleeper and VIP cabin options. The main arrival point is the Da Lat Intercity Bus Station, with some companies like FUTA providing free shuttle vans to hotels.
  • Buses from Nha Trang take about 3-5 hours and cost approximately 150,000-200,000 VND ($7-$9 USD).

By Train (Indirect):

  • There are no direct train routes to Da Lat. Travelers can take a train from major cities like Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang or Phan Rang-Thap Cham (Thap Cham).
  • The train journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang or Thap Cham can take 7-9 hours, with varied ticket prices.
  • From Nha Trang or Thap Cham, a connecting bus or limousine transfer to Da Lat takes about 3-3.5 hours, costing between 110,000-250,000 VND.

By Private Car/Taxi:
