Bandung is served by Husein Sastranegara Airport (BDO) for air travel, Bandung Central Station for conventional trains, and dedicated high-speed rail stations, alongside various points for intercity buses and shuttle services.

By High-Speed Train (Whoosh):

Traveling between Jakarta and Bandung is efficient with the Whoosh high-speed train. The journey from Halim Station in Jakarta to Padalarang Station near Bandung takes approximately 30-50 minutes. From Padalarang, a free feeder train connects directly to Bandung Central Station, adding about 20 minutes to the journey. Ticket prices for the Whoosh train typically range from IDR 250,000 to IDR 600,000, depending on the class of service (Premium Economy, Business, or First Class).

By Conventional Train:

Direct conventional train services operate from Jakarta's Gambir Station to Bandung Central Station. This journey generally takes around 3 to 3.5 hours. Fares for economy class tickets start from approximately IDR 70,000 to IDR 80,000.

By Bus/Shuttle:

Numerous shuttle and bus companies provide frequent services between Jakarta and Bandung. Travel times typically range from 2 to 3 hours, although this can extend up to 5 hours from Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, depending on traffic conditions. Costs for bus or shuttle tickets usually fall between IDR 50,000 and IDR 190,000. For direct airport transfers, expect to pay around IDR 150,000 to IDR 210,000.

By Air:

Husein Sastranegara Airport (BDO) is Bandung's airport, located within the city. While many commercial flights have transferred to Kertajati International Airport, BDO still handles domestic routes to several Indonesian cities, including Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali, and Halim Perdanakusuma International, primarily operated by Citilink. International direct flights from BDO are not widely available.

By Car/Taxi:

Driving from Jakarta to Bandung can take about 1 hour and 46 minutes to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Costs for a private car or taxi from Jakarta to Bandung typically range from IDR 260,000 to IDR 400,000. From Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, a taxi to Bandung can cost around IDR 1,320,000 (€85) and take approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Within Bandung, taxis and ride-hailing apps are readily available from Husein Sastranegara Airport to the city center, with car rides costing around Rp22,000 and motorcycle rides around Rp13,000 to central areas like Alun-Alun Bandung.
