Early mornings often provide the best conditions and fewer crowds, offering a serene start to the day on the water.
Cost: A single private surf lesson typically costs between IDR 450,000 and 780,000 for a 1.5-hour session. Group lessons are also available, starting from around IDR 455,000 per person for one session. For those with some experience, surfboard rental is available from approximately IDR 75,000 per hour.
Transport: Many surf spots, such as Batu Bolong and Echo Beach, are centrally located within Canggu. While some accommodations might be within walking distance, renting a scooter is a common and flexible way to get around, with daily costs ranging from IDR 60,000 to 100,000. Alternatively, ride-hailing apps like Grab and Go-Jek are available; however, be aware that local taxi groups may restrict pick-ups in certain areas, potentially requiring a short walk to meet your driver.
