Ahmedabad is served by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (AMD) for air travel, and Ahmedabad Junction railway station (Kalupur) acts as its primary rail hub. The city also features a developing metro network and an extensive bus rapid transit system.

By Air:

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (AMD) handles domestic and international flights, connecting Ahmedabad to over 48 domestic and 16 international destinations. Major airlines such as Air India and IndiGo operate from this airport.

By Train:

Ahmedabad Junction, locally known as Kalupur railway station, is the main railway station, linking Ahmedabad to major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, along with other cities in Gujarat. The station is currently undergoing redevelopment. The Ahmedabad Metro also provides connectivity to Kalupur railway station.

By Bus:

Extensive intercity bus services are offered by the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC), connecting Ahmedabad to various cities including Rajkot (fares from INR 179, approximately 4 hours 44 minutes travel time) and Surat (fares from INR 204, approximately 5 hours 30 minutes travel time). Within the city, the Ahmedabad BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) and AMTS (Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service) provide affordable and widespread coverage, with BRTS fares ranging from ₹4 to ₹27. An electric air-conditioned BRTS bus service runs from Ahmedabad Airport Terminal 1 to destinations across the city, costing around ₹50 per person and operating from 6 AM to 11 PM.

By Car:

Car rental services are available at Ahmedabad Airport, with daily rates starting from approximately $72 for economy cars or around 36€. Self-drive options from providers like Zoomcar and MyChoize typically range from ₹1,200 to ₹3,000 per day. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Ola are also readily available.
