Udaipur is served by Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR), located about 22-25 km east of the city, and has two main railway stations: Udaipur City Railway Station (UDZ), situated approximately 2.5 km from the city center, and Rana Pratap Nagar. The central bus stand, Udaipur City Bus Depot (Udaipole), is conveniently located in the city's heart.

By Air:

Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR) connects Udaipur to major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet operate flights to and from these destinations. While direct international flights are not available, travelers can connect through major hubs like Delhi or Ahmedabad. A flight from Delhi typically takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, and from Mumbai, around 1 hour 25 minutes. Ticket prices can vary, but one-way fares from Delhi can be around ₹3,286 and from Mumbai around ₹8,162. From the airport, a taxi to the city center costs approximately ₹600-₹800 and takes about 25-30 minutes. Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Ola are also available, and a dedicated bus service operates between the airport and the city, with stops along the highway.

By Train:

Udaipur City Railway Station (UDZ) offers extensive rail connectivity to major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur. Travel from Delhi by train can take between 11 hours 45 minutes to over 15 hours, with fares ranging from approximately ₹405 for Sleeper Class to ₹2505 for First AC. From Ahmedabad, train journeys typically range from 4 hours 15 minutes to 6 hours 15 minutes, with an average fare of ₹205.

By Bus:

The Udaipur City Bus Depot serves as a central hub for both government (RSRTC) and private bus operators, offering connections to various cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur. Deluxe, AC, and sleeper bus options are available. A bus journey from Delhi to Udaipur typically takes 10 to 15 hours, with fares from approximately ₹628. From Ahmedabad, the travel time is around 4 to 6 hours, with fares starting from about ₹244. A bus from Jaipur to Udaipur can take 5 to 8 hours, with fares from approximately ₹400.

By Car/Taxi:

Taxis and car rentals are readily available for travel to and from Udaipur. Ride-sharing services like Ola and Uber also operate within the city. For those preferring self-drive, rental bikes and scooters can be hired for around ₹300-₹800 per day.
