Urubamba offers a selection of quality hotels, ranging from luxurious resorts to tranquil hacienda-style stays, providing comfortable and immersive experiences amidst the Sacred Valley's natural beauty.
1. Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Valle Sagrado
Type: Luxury Resort
I experienced this luxury spa hotel nestled at the base of a mountain, with views overlooking the Urubamba River. The property impresses with its Inca-inspired architecture and rustic-contemporary design. Spacious rooms offer marble bathrooms and private balconies with views. Amenities include a spa, pool, fitness center, and a restaurant utilizing ingredients from its organic garden.
2. Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba
Type: Hacienda-style Hotel
Staying at this contemporary hacienda-style hotel, I found it immersed in a gorgeous area spanning approximately 100 acres, surrounded by imposing green mountains. The rooms offer breathtaking valley views, creating a sense of open space and serenity. The hotel showcases local cultural history through its architecture and interiors, and an "Earth to Table" concept allows guests to engage with its organic plantation.
3. Rio Sagrado, A Belmond Hotel, Sacred Valley
Type: Luxury Hotel
My stay at this luxurious hotel provided a peaceful and romantic atmosphere, set directly on the banks of the Urubamba River, flanked by mountains and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The hotel blends a 17th-century hacienda's traditional decor with contemporary furnishings. It offers a climatized swimming pool and a spa providing traditional Andean ceremonies.
