Huaraz is served by Comandante FAP Germán Arias Graziani Airport (ATA), located northwest of the city. The city also has several major bus terminals, including Terminal Huaraz.

By Air (from Lima):

Daily flights are available from Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) to Huaraz (ATA), operated by LATAM Airlines. The flight duration is approximately 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. From the airport, a shuttle service to Huaraz city center takes about 40 minutes, or a bus takes approximately 2 hours 20 minutes.

By Bus (from Lima):

This is the most common travel method, with numerous bus companies offering services from Lima to Huaraz. The journey duration typically ranges from 6 hours 27 minutes to 10 hours 15 minutes, with an average of 8 hours. Ticket prices vary by company and service, starting from around $13 to $85. Buses depart from various terminals in Lima, such as Nicolás Arriola, Puente de Piedra, Javier Prado Avenue, and Plaza Norte Bus Terminal, arriving at Huaraz bus stations. Many routes offer overnight options, which can save on accommodation costs.

By Private Transfer (from Lima):

Private car transfers are an option for a quicker, direct journey from Lima, taking approximately 5 hours 30 minutes. Costs for a private SUV auto can be around $387. Private transfers are also available within Huaraz for airport/bus station pickups and transport to hiking trailheads.
