Chiclayo is served by Capitán FAP José A. Quiñones Gonzáles International Airport (CIX), located approximately 1.5 km east of the city center. For ground travel, Chiclayo utilizes multiple bus terminals, with Terminal Terrestre de Chiclayo (also known as Terminal Cavassa) on Avenida los Incas being a prominent hub, and many individual bus companies maintaining their own terminals, often situated along Avenida Bolognesi.

Flights (from Lima):

Flights from Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima to Chiclayo's CIX airport are available. Airlines such as LATAM Chile, JetSMART, and Star Peru operate this route. The flight duration is typically around 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Costs for a one-way flight range from approximately $39 to $200, with round-trip fares starting from about $70.

Buses (from Lima):

Numerous bus companies, including Terramovil Peru, Linea, Turismo Cautivo, Ittsa Bus, and Transportes Chiclayo, offer services from Lima to Chiclayo. The journey by bus can take between 10 hours 30 minutes and 15 hours, with ticket prices ranging from $13 to $65. Buses depart from various terminals in Lima and arrive at Chiclayo's Terminal Terrestre or individual company terminals.

Driving (from Lima):

Driving from Lima to Chiclayo covers a distance of 751 km to 767 km and generally takes 10 hours 53 minutes to 14 hours.
