By Air:

Direct flights are available from Buenos Aires (Aeroparque Jorge Newbery - AEP or Ezeiza International Airport - EZE) to Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport (IGR), with a typical flight duration of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours. Prices for one-way flights from Buenos Aires can start around $27-$50, while round-trip flights may begin at $75. From Rio de Janeiro, flights generally arrive at Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU) in Brazil, taking around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

From IGR Airport to Puerto Iguazú City:

Taxis are available, with fares around 18,000 Argentine pesos ($18 USD) to the city center. Shared minivans operated by companies like Four Tourist offer transfers for about 1,300 ARS per person, taking 30 to 60 minutes. Local buses, such as those by Rio Uruguay, connect the airport to the main bus terminal in Puerto Iguazú, with a journey time of approximately 45 minutes. Ride-hailing apps may have limited availability.

By Bus from Buenos Aires:

Long-distance buses connect Buenos Aires (primarily from Retiro Bus Terminal) to Puerto Iguazú, with travel times ranging from 17 to 20 hours. Ticket prices can vary from approximately $34.54 to $162.96, depending on the service and booking time.

By Bus from Rio de Janeiro:

Buses operate from Rio de Janeiro to Puerto Iguazú, with the journey taking approximately 18 to 27 hours and costs ranging from around $93 to $276.

Local Buses:

The Rio Uruguay bus company provides regular services from the Puerto Iguazú Bus Terminal to Iguazu National Park (Argentine side), with buses departing every 20-30 minutes and a travel time of about 30 minutes. These buses also offer services for crossing the border to Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil.
