Cost: Free to access. A taxi from Wanaka town centre to the trailhead costs approximately NZD $30-40 and takes about 7 minutes. Shuttles may be offered by some accommodations for sunrise hikes.
Transport: The trailhead is 6.5 km from Wanaka town centre on Mount Aspiring Road. A taxi or private car is needed to reach the starting point as there is no direct public transport.
