The primary transport hub for Uluru is Ayers Rock Airport (AYQ), also known as Connellan Airport, located near Yulara. Alice Springs Airport (ASP) serves as a larger, but more distant, alternative.

By Air:

Direct flights to Ayers Rock Airport (AYQ) are available from major Australian cities, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Cairns, typically taking between 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Airlines operating these routes include Qantas, Jetstar, and Virgin Australia. Indicative one-way flight costs from Ayers Rock Airport start from approximately $280 to Melbourne and $308 to Sydney. The airport provides complimentary return transfers to and from Ayers Rock Resort.

By Bus:

Coach transfers are available from Alice Springs to Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort), with journey times generally ranging from 5 to 7 hours. One-way bus fares typically range from $110 to $249, depending on the service.

By Car:

Renting a car is an option from Ayers Rock Airport, Yulara, or Alice Springs. Driving directly from Alice Springs to Uluru covers approximately 453-465 km and takes about 4.5 to 5.5 hours. Car rental in Uluru tends to be expensive due to its remote location, with daily rates starting from around $293. It is advisable to book car rentals in advance due to limited availability.
