Port Douglas's bar scene is generally relaxed and intimate, providing quality venues for sophisticated drinks, craft beers by the water, or a convivial pub atmosphere.
Entertainment and Music:
Port Douglas offers a relaxed entertainment scene, often centered around its inviting bars and pubs, with a generally low-key atmosphere outside of special events.
For live music, visitors can experience regular performances at venues like Hemingway's Brewery at the marina, which hosts weekend jams and open mic nights. The historic Courthouse Hotel also provides a vibrant atmosphere with live music, typically concluding earlier in the evening.

2. Jimmy Rum's Mixing Lounge

For a unique and spirited experience, I enjoy the vibrant tiles and exotic tunes of Jimmy Rum's. This late-night cocktail haunt serves up creative, rum-focused concoctions in quirky goblets, reflecting the region's sugarcane heritage. Its intimate, mood-lit atmosphere on Macrossan Street makes it an ideal place for expertly crafted drinks.

I appreciate the laid-back vibe and stunning marina views at Hemingway's Brewery. This microbrewery offers a rotating selection of handcrafted beers alongside delicious pub fare. The long picnic tables on the boardwalk provide a great setting to watch the superyachts and enjoy the balmy evenings.
Getting There: Located at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina, it is a pleasant stroll from Macrossan Street or a short taxi ride if preferred.
4. Paddy's Irish Pub

Paddy's offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere on Macrossan Street. It is a traditional Irish pub where one can enjoy a pint of Guinness, a selection of whiskies, and classic pub food. With live music from Thursday to Sunday evenings and regular local nights, it provides a convivial setting to socialise and experience a slice of local Port Douglas life.
