Jervis Bay itself does not feature major civilian transport hubs. The closest main train station connecting to local services is Bomaderry (Nowra), while Sydney Airport (SYD) and Canberra Airport (CBR) serve as primary aviation gateways to the region.

By Car:

Driving offers the most direct access. From Sydney, the journey typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours, covering approximately 189-200 km, with costs ranging from $35-$55 for fuel. You can choose the faster M1 and Princes Highway route or the scenic Grand Pacific Drive. From Canberra, the drive is also around 2.5 to 3 hours (193-197 km) and similarly costs $35-$55.

By Bus:

For a direct option from Sydney, the Jervis Bay Airport Express shuttle service operates from Sydney Airport or CBD, taking approximately 3 hours. Alternatively, a Premier Motor Service bus from Sydney's Central Station to Bomaderry takes about 3 hours and 29 minutes, with tickets priced between $29-$40. From Bomaderry, local buses (like route 102) connect to Huskisson, the main hub in Jervis Bay.

By Train and Bus:

From Sydney, you can take a train on the South Coast Line to Kiama, then transfer to a connecting train service to Bomaderry (Nowra). From Bomaderry Station, local bus services (e.g., Nowra Coaches Route 102) will take you to Huskisson. This combined journey typically spans 4 to 5 hours and costs approximately $10-$18.

By Air:

While Jervis Bay has a military airfield, it is not open for public flights. Travelers usually fly into Sydney Airport (SYD) or Canberra Airport (CBR). From Sydney Airport, you can then rent a car, use a shuttle service, or combine train and bus travel to reach Jervis Bay.
