By Car from Sydney:

Driving is a popular option, with the M4 Great Western Highway being the most direct route, taking about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Katoomba. Tolls apply on this route. An alternative is the scenic Bells Line of Road, which takes around 2 hours and 10 minutes to Lithgow. Car rental prices from Sydney can start from approximately $15-$25 per day, while renting directly in Katoomba may start from about $79 per day.

Various companies offer day tours departing from the Sydney city centre. These tours typically cost around $99 AUD for adults and often include visits to major attractions, offering a convenient and guided experience.

Local Transport within Blue Mountains:

Additionally, the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus provides a hop-on hop-off service with 37 stops, operating hourly on Saturdays, public holidays, and school holidays.
