Prince Edward County does not have major transport hubs within its borders; however, the nearby city of Belleville serves as a key access point for train and bus services. Picton does have a small airport (CNT7) but it is not for commercial flights.

By Car:

Driving is the most recommended and convenient way to explore Prince Edward County due to the spread-out nature of its attractions and limited public transport within the county. The drive from Toronto to Prince Edward County takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes to 2 hours and 35 minutes, covering a distance of about 193-204 km. Costs for driving from Toronto can range from $35 - $55. From Kingston, driving takes about 1 hour and 14 minutes, costing $18 - $25. Car rentals are available, with prices starting from approximately $78-$85 per day.

By Bus:

There is no direct bus service from Toronto to Picton. You can take a bus from Toronto to Belleville, which takes about 2 hours and costs between $60-$80. From Belleville, County Transit offers connections to Picton and Bloomfield, with a fare of about $5 for a ride within Prince Edward County or $10 from Bloomfield to Belleville. The total bus journey from Toronto to Prince Edward County, including transfers in Belleville, can take around 2 hours and 28 minutes to 3 hours and 15 minutes.

By Train:

There is no direct train to Prince Edward County. You can take a VIA Rail train from Toronto Union Station to Belleville. From Belleville, you would need to arrange further transportation to Prince Edward County, such as a taxi or County Transit. A return train ticket from Toronto to Belleville can cost around $200.

By Ferry:

If approaching from Kingston or the east, the free Glenora Ferry connects Adolphustown to Glenora in Prince Edward County across Picton Bay. The crossing takes about 15 minutes and runs every 15-30 minutes.

Private Transportation/Taxis/Rideshare:

Private car services from Toronto to Prince Edward County can range from $275 to $400 one-way. Taxis are available, and ridesharing services like Uride also operate in Prince Edward County.
