The total journey from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria can take around 3.5 hours, including travel to and from the terminals.  As of May 2025, adult passenger fares range from $15.00 to $20.00, while a standard vehicle (under 20 feet) can cost between $34 and $85, depending on booking and fare type.  Reservations for vehicles are strongly recommended to avoid potential long waits.  From Swartz Bay, local BC Transit Route 70 provides express bus service to downtown Victoria in about an hour.</p>
