Sample one-way fares include approximately C$28 from Summerside (1h 40m travel time), C$45 from Moncton (3h travel time), and C$62 from Halifax (5h 10m travel time). While public transit buses can take you to and from Charlottetown Airport with a transfer at the Charlottetown Mall, this journey can take around 34 minutes to 1 hour 23 minutes and costs approximately C$4.

By Ferry:

Northumberland Ferries operates a 75-minute car ferry service between Wood Islands, PEI, and Caribou, Nova Scotia, running from May to mid-December. Reservations are recommended during peak season, and a fare is charged only upon departure from Wood Islands. Another ferry service, CTMA Traversier, offers a five-hour crossing between Souris, PEI, and Cap-aux-Meules in the Îles de la Madeleine from early April to November.

By Car:

Prince Edward Island is connected to New Brunswick by the 12.9 km (8 mile) Confederation Bridge, which takes about 10 minutes to cross. A toll is only charged upon departure from PEI. Car rental prices in Charlottetown can range from approximately C$44 to C$144 per day, with options available from various companies including Discount Car & Truck Rentals, Europcar, National, Thrifty, Budget, Hertz, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

By Taxi/Rideshare:

Taxis are readily available at Charlottetown Airport. A taxi ride to the city center typically takes 10-15 minutes and costs between C$15 and C$31.
