Betws-y-Coed features a centrally located railway station on the Conwy Valley Line, which also serves as a key interchange for various bus services. Additionally, a dedicated coach park is available at the station.

By Train:

Transport for Wales operates services on the Conwy Valley Line, connecting Betws-y-Coed with Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog, with trains running approximately every three hours. Journeys from London Euston typically take between 3 hours 49 minutes and 5 hours 41 minutes, involving at least one change, often at Llandudno Junction, with fares starting from approximately £50.50. From Manchester Airport, a train to Llandudno Junction takes about 2 hours 22 minutes and costs £20-£50, from where further local transport is needed.

By Bus:

The Betws-y-Coed railway station serves as a main hub for Snowdonia National Park Sherpa bus services, providing routes to destinations like Capel Curig, Pen-y-Pass, and Porthmadog. Local bus services, including lines S1 (Caernarfon via Llanberis) and T10 (Bangor via Corwen), connect the village to surrounding towns such as Llanrwst, Conwy, and Llandudno. Buses generally operate from around 07:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 08:00 to 21:00 on Sundays.

By Car:

Betws-y-Coed is conveniently located at the junction of the A470 and A5 trunk roads. Travelers from the North West can use the M56 and A55 Expressway, while the A5 provides connections from the Midlands and southern England. The drive from Manchester is approximately 90 miles, taking 1.5 to 2 hours. Parking facilities are available at the station.

By Air:

Betws-y-Coed does not have its own airport. The nearest major airports are Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), about 43 miles away, and Manchester Airport (MAN), roughly 60.1 miles away. From these airports, onward travel typically involves a combination of trains and buses or taxis to reach Betws-y-Coed.

By Ferry:

Ferries from Dublin and Dun Laoghaire arrive at Holyhead in Anglesey, which is approximately one hour's drive from Betws-y-Coed.
