Kas, Turkey, does not have its own airport or train station, relying on nearby major transport hubs for access. The primary international airports serving the area are Dalaman Airport (DLM) to the west and Antalya Airport (AYT) to the east, both located a few hours' drive away. The town also has a central bus station, located on Ataturk Boulevard, which serves both local and intercity routes.

Flights:

The nearest airports are Dalaman (DLM) and Antalya (AYT). From these airports, you can arrange onward travel.

Private Transfer:

Private car services offer a direct and comfortable journey from both Dalaman and Antalya airports. A private transfer from Antalya to Kas can take approximately 3 to 3.5 hours and may cost around €130 (as of 2025) or $35 per person with some services. From Dalaman Airport, a private taxi can cost around £75 for a 3-person vehicle, with the journey taking about 2 hours and 24 minutes.

Shared Shuttle:

Shared shuttle services are a cost-effective option available from both Antalya and Dalaman airports.

Bus:

Intercity buses are a popular and affordable way to reach Kas. Regular bus services connect Kas to Antalya, with journeys typically lasting around 4 hours and costing 350–450 TRY (as of 2025). From Dalaman, buses take approximately 2 hours and 42 minutes, with tickets ranging from ₺600–850. Some bus operators also offer semi-sleeper and sleeper options. The central bus station in Kas handles these services.

Car Rental:

Renting a car from Antalya or Dalaman airports provides flexibility for exploring the region. The drive from Antalya to Kas is about 190 km (118 miles) and takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. From Dalaman, the drive is about 160 km (99 miles) and also takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. Estimated fuel costs for driving from Antalya can be around €120.

Taxi:

Taxis are available from both airports. From Antalya Airport to Kas, a taxi can cost around €230 for a 3.5-hour journey. From Dalaman Airport, a taxi can cost between ₺3,800–4,600 and takes approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes.

Vans:

Vans offer a convenient and affordable option from Dalaman Airport to Kas, with tickets from $12 and a travel time of around 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Ferry:

It is possible to travel by ferry from the small Greek island of Kastellorizo (Meis) to Kas. The journey is short, taking less than an hour, often around 20-30 minutes, with tickets starting from €17.50 to €20. This route operates from April to November.
