These ships operate year-round, calling at Tromsø twice daily. Travel times are approximately 64 hours from Bergen, 51 hours from Trondheim, and 35 hours from Kirkenes.
Bus services connect Tromsø with Alta, Narvik, and Fauske year-round. Seasonal connections to Rovaniemi, Finland, are also available during summer and from December to March.
There is no direct train service to Tromsø. Travelers can take a train to Narvik (connecting from Sweden via Kiruna or Stockholm) or Fauske (connecting from southern Norway like Oslo, Bergen, or Trondheim), then transfer to a bus for the remainder of the journey to Tromsø.
