Ikaria is served by Ikaria Island National Airport (JIK), located near Faros on the southeastern side of the island. The island also has two main ferry ports: Agios Kirikos on the southern coast and Evdilos on the northern coast.

By Air:

Direct flights to Ikaria Island National Airport (JIK) are available from Athens (ATH) and Heraklion (HER) via Aegean/Olympic Air and Sky Express. The flight from Athens typically takes 40-55 minutes, with one-way fares ranging from approximately €41 to €115, depending on booking time and season.

By Ferry from Mainland Greece:

Ferries connect Ikaria's ports (Agios Kirikos and Evdilos) with Piraeus Port in Athens. The journey duration from Piraeus can vary from about 6 to 11 hours, with ticket prices starting around €43. Connections are also available from Kavala in northern Greece.

By Ferry from Other Islands:

Ikaria is well-connected by ferry to numerous nearby islands including Samos, Mykonos, Chios, Patmos, Syros, Fournoi, Lipsi, Leros, Kalymnos, and Kos. Travel times vary, for example, the fastest ferry connection is from Fournoi to Agios Kirikos, taking approximately 27 minutes.

Combined Air and Ferry Travel from Europe:

Travelers from Europe can fly to nearby Mykonos (MYK) or Samos (SMI), which offer direct flights from various European countries, and then take a regional ferry to Ikaria, typically taking 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
