Milos, Greece, is serviced by Milos Island National Airport (MLO) and its main ferry port, Adamas (also known as Adamantas). The central bus station is also located in Adamas, near the ferry port.

By Air:

Direct domestic flights to Milos Island National Airport (MLO) are available from Athens International Airport (ATH). The flight duration is approximately 40 minutes. Airlines such as Aegean Airlines and Sky Express operate this route, with one-way fares typically starting from €42 to €63.

By Ferry from Athens:

Ferries are a popular way to reach Milos from Athens, primarily departing from Piraeus Port.

  • High-speed ferries: take approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours, with fares ranging from around €65.70 to €96.70. Companies like SeaJets operate these routes.
  • Conventional ferries: have a longer journey, typically 4 to 7 hours, with tickets starting from about €20 to €48. Minoan Lines, Blue Star Ferries, Fast Ferries, and Aegean Sea Lines are among the operators.
  • Ferry services run year-round, increasing in frequency during the high season, with over 26 weekly crossings from Piraeus during summer.

By Ferry from Other Islands:

Milos has ferry connections with other Cycladic islands and Crete.

  • From Santorini, a fast ferry can take around 2 hours, costing approximately €75 to €93.70.
  • From Mykonos, the journey can take 3 to 5 hours, with fares around €100.

On Milos (Airport/Port Transfers):

From Milos Airport, taxis and local public buses are available for transport to various parts of the island, including Adamas and Plaka. A bus fare typically costs €2. Taxis are also readily available at the main port of Adamas. Car rentals are widely available and recommended for exploring the island independently.
