By Air:
Luxembourg Airport (LUX):: This is the closest airport, situated approximately 34-39 kilometers from Trier. A direct train from Luxembourg Central Station to Trier takes about 50 minutes and costs around €16 one-way. Alternatively, a direct bus service, such as the 'airport liner,' completes the journey in approximately 45 minutes, with tickets priced at around €13.50 one-way; advance booking is recommended due to a limited schedule.
