Inter-City Travel
For traveling between cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, buses and trains are the primary options, with car rental offering more flexibility. Buses are a reliable and extensive network, connecting most towns and cities. Typical bus ticket prices range from $5 to $25 USD. For example, a journey from Sarajevo to Mostar costs around 30 KM (approximately $16 USD), while Sarajevo to Jajce is about 36 KM.
Train travel is limited but offers scenic routes, particularly between Sarajevo and Mostar. A train ticket from Sarajevo to Mostar costs around 14.10 BAM (approximately $8-$10 USD), with a 20% discount for round trips.
