Hirosaki Station serves as the primary transportation hub in Hirosaki, accommodating both JR lines and the private Kōnan Railway. A major bus terminal is conveniently located a short walk from the station.

From Tokyo by Train (Shinkansen + Local Train):

A journey typically involves taking a Hayabusa train on the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Shin-Aomori Station, which lasts approximately 3.5 hours. From Shin-Aomori, a transfer to a local or limited express train to Hirosaki takes an additional 30-40 minutes. The total travel time is around 4.5 hours, with an approximate cost of 18,000 yen. This route is covered by the Japan Rail Pass, JR East Tohoku Area Pass, and JR East South Hokkaido Pass.

From Tokyo by Air (Flight to Aomori Airport + Bus):

Flights from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Aomori Airport take about 85 minutes. While regular one-way fares can be around 41,000 yen, discount tickets are often available for 14,000 to 18,000 yen. From Aomori Airport, a bus service to Hirosaki Station or the nearby bus terminal takes approximately one hour and costs 1,200 yen.

From Tokyo by Highway Bus:

Daytime and overnight highway buses operate from Tokyo to Aomori, making stops in Hirosaki. This journey typically spans 9-10 hours, with fares ranging from 4,000 to 12,000 yen, depending on the date of travel.

From Shin-Aomori Station by Train:

As the closest Shinkansen station, Shin-Aomori offers frequent local or limited express train connections to Hirosaki Station. This train ride usually takes about 30-50 minutes and costs between 550 to 2,700 yen.

From Shin-Aomori Station by Taxi:

A fixed-rate taxi service is available from Shin-Aomori Station to the Hirosaki City area, costing around 10,000 yen for a journey that takes approximately 60 minutes to Hirosaki Park.

From Aomori Airport by Bus:

A direct bus service connects Aomori Airport to Hirosaki Station. The travel time is approximately 54 minutes, and the fare is 1,200 yen.

From Aomori Airport by Taxi:

A taxi ride from Aomori Airport to Hirosaki Station can take about 26 minutes and may cost between 10,000 to 13,000 yen. A fixed-rate taxi to Hirosaki Park is offered at approximately 7,500 yen.
