Yangshuo itself has a main bus station for local and inter-city routes, and a high-speed railway station located outside the town center. The closest major transport hub for air travel is Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL).

By Air:

Travellers typically fly into Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL), which has connections from major Chinese cities and some international destinations.

  • From Guilin Airport, direct shuttle buses to Yangshuo are available from the Long-distance Bus Station on the first floor of the terminal building. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and costs about CNY 50.
  • Taxis from Guilin Airport to Yangshuo can cost around CNY 280-350 and take approximately 1.5 hours.

By High-Speed Train:

Yangshuo Railway Station, also known as Xingping Station, is situated approximately 22-36 kilometers (14-22 miles) northeast of Yangshuo's West Street.

  • High-speed trains connect Yangshuo Railway Station to cities like Guilin, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Shenzhen, and Nanning.
  • From Guilin, high-speed trains to Yangshuo Railway Station can take between 20 to 51 minutes and cost around CNY 21-33.
  • Upon arrival at Yangshuo Railway Station, shuttle buses are available to Yangshuo downtown, taking about 1 hour and costing CNY 20.
  • Alternatively, a taxi from Yangshuo Railway Station to Yangshuo's West Street costs approximately CNY 80-100.

By Bus from Guilin:

Frequent buses operate from various Guilin bus stations to Yangshuo.

  • Direct buses from Guilin Qintan Bus Station to Yangshuo take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and cost around CNY 28.
  • Minibuses from in front of Guilin Railway Station to Yangshuo bus terminal are also available, taking 80-90 minutes and costing CNY 16-24.

By Li River Cruise:

A scenic option is to take a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, typically departing in the morning from Zhujiang Wharf or Mopanshan Wharf. This journey offers views of the karst mountains and takes 4 to 5 hours.

By Taxi/Private Transfer:

Private transfers or taxis are available from Guilin city to Yangshuo, with a journey time of about 1.5 hours and costs ranging from CNY 200-250.
