Luoyang features major transport hubs including Luoyang Beijiao Airport, Luoyang Railway Station, and Luoyang Longmen Railway Station, providing air and rail connections, alongside several bus stations for road travel.

By Air:

Luoyang Beijiao Airport (LYA) handles domestic flights from major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Hangzhou, as well as some international flights to destinations such as Hong Kong and Bangkok. Travel time from the airport to downtown Luoyang is approximately 20-30 minutes by taxi (CNY 20-30) or airport bus (CNY 10).

By High-Speed Train:

Luoyang Longmen Railway Station is the main hub for high-speed trains. Journeys to Beijing West typically take 3-4.5 hours with fares ranging from CNY 368-400 for a second-class seat. A trip to Xi'an North takes around 1.5-2 hours, costing about CNY 174.5 for a second-class seat. Travel to Zhengzhou is swift, taking 25-40 minutes with fares around CNY 46.5-74 for a second-class seat.

By Regular Train:

Luoyang Railway Station serves conventional trains, connecting to cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xi'an. A journey to Xi'an by regular train can take 4.5-6.5 hours.

By Bus:

Long-distance buses operate from Luoyang Bus Station and Jinyuan Bus Station, providing connections to various cities within Henan Province and beyond, including Xi'an and Zhengzhou. Tourist buses are also available from stations near the Railway Station to attractions like Shaolin Temple, with travel times of approximately 2 hours and fares around CNY 8-20.

By Taxi:

Taxis are readily available throughout Luoyang. The starting fare is CNY 8, with an additional CNY 1.70 per kilometer. An approximate cost for a taxi to Longmen Grottoes is CNY 40-50, and to Shaolin Temple, it can be CNY 150-250.
