Campeche is served by the Campeche International Airport (CPE) for domestic flights and features a central ADO bus station. The city also has the San Francisco de Campeche railway station, part of the new Tren Maya network. A light rail project is under construction, expected to open in August 2025, to connect the airport, Tren Maya station, and the Historic Center.

By Air

Flights to Campeche International Airport (CPE) are available, with one-way tickets from Mexico City (MEX) starting from $86 USD and round trips from $169 USD. Airlines such as Aeromexico and Mexicana offer direct flights from Mexico City, typically taking around 1 hour 50 minutes. The total travel time, including transfers, from Mexico City can be approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, taxis from Campeche International Airport to the city center take about 5 minutes and cost between $320-$390 MXN.

By Bus

Long-distance bus services are a common option, with ADO being a major operator. A bus journey from Mexico City to Campeche takes approximately 19 hours 5 minutes and costs between $1,700–$2,600 MXN. From Merida, buses run frequently, almost every 30 minutes, with a travel time of about 2 hours 35 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes, and a one-way ticket costing around $17.50 USD (352 pesos) or ranging from $20 to $70 USD. From Cancun, the bus trip to Campeche is approximately 6.5 to 7 hours 50 minutes, with fares ranging from $56-$70 USD.

By Train

The new Tren Maya system connects Campeche with other destinations in the Yucatan Peninsula. A train from Palenque to Campeche takes about 4 hours 45 minutes and costs around $30 USD. Travel by train from Campeche to Merida takes approximately 3 hours 41 minutes and costs between $19–95 USD. The Tren Maya station is located southeast of the city.

By Car Rental

Car rental services are available in Campeche, including at the Campeche International Airport. Daily rental costs can start from $9 USD, with average daily rates around $35.97 USD. Companies such as Europcar, Hertz, and Avis operate in the area.
