Marrakech is served by Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) for air travel, Marrakesh Railway Station for train services, and multiple bus stations (Bab Doukkala, CTM, and Supratours) for bus connections.

Flights:

Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) offers direct flights from various European cities (e.g., London, Paris, Madrid) with airlines such as Ryanair, easyJet, and Royal Air Maroc, typically taking 3-4 hours. Direct flights from the United States (e.g., Newark, Atlanta) are available, with travel times ranging from around 7.5 to 14 hours for connecting flights, and costs starting from approximately $184 one-way or $456 round-trip. From the airport, taxis to the city center take about 15-20 minutes, with fixed fares ranging from 70 to 100 Moroccan Dirhams (MAD), increasing by 50% between 8 PM and 6 AM. The Airport Express Bus 19 runs between 6:30 AM and 11:30 PM, connecting the airport to Jemaa el-Fna square, the bus station, and train station in about 30-40 minutes; a return ticket costs 30 MAD. Cheaper local buses (No. 12, 18) are also available just outside the airport for about 4 MAD.

Trains:

The Moroccan railway system connects Marrakech to major cities. A train journey from Casablanca to Marrakech typically takes 2 hours 39 minutes to 3 hours 40 minutes, with tickets costing between 95 and 198 MAD ($10-35 USD). Travel to Rabat takes approximately 3.5 hours, and to Fez, around 7 hours. High-speed train services (via Casablanca) can reach Tangier in about 5 hours 14 minutes, with fares ranging from 186 to 472 MAD.

Buses:

Major bus companies like CTM and Supratours offer extensive routes. A bus from Casablanca to Marrakech takes about 3 hours 40 minutes and costs 95-145 MAD ($10-17 USD). Trips to Agadir typically last 3 hours 30 minutes, costing 100-160 MAD ($20-22 USD), while journeys to Essaouira take around 3 hours and cost approximately 100 MAD (~$10-11 USD). There is usually a small fee for checked luggage.

Car Rental:

Car rental services are available at Marrakech Menara Airport and in the city, with daily prices for small to medium cars starting from $7-$8, and SUVs from $19-$83. Driving in Morocco is on the right side of the road, and carrying your national driving license is necessary.

Ferries:

While there are no direct ferries to Marrakech, services operate from Spain, France, and Italy to Moroccan ports like Tangier Med and Nador. The fastest routes include Tarifa to Tangier Ville (about 1 hour, from €35 for an adult) and Algeciras to Tangier Med (about 1 hour 30 minutes, from €40 for an adult). From these arrival ports, further travel by train, bus, or car is required to reach Marrakech.
